Sculptural

Much of my decorative work is driven by the exploration of these themes that surround the Japanese Canadian diasporic experience, with a particular emphasis on native flora and its symbolic connections to my personal and cultural narrative. I seek to create art that resonates with my Japanese Canadian audience, reflecting the resilience and complexities of our shared history and identity. My pieces merge intricate patterning with profound reflection, serving as both a personal meditation and a dialogue for the broader Japanese Canadian community.
